DataIQ, the UK’s leading membership business for the data and analytics community, named David Bloch, Data Science Evangelist at Domino Data Lab, as one of the most influential leaders in the 2021 edition of the DataIQ 100.
Launched in 2014, the DataIQ 100 celebrates the most influential data and analytics practitioners in the United Kingdom. The purpose of the DataIQ 100 is to track the rise of Chief Data Officers, Chief Analytics Officers, Data Scientists and other data professionals across enterprise organizations, software vendors and service providers.
David was included in the list due to his work in co-founding and hosting the “Data Leaders Executive Lounge” with Dan Harris. The Lounge is an invite only membership and series of events that enable Data Science Leaders to view relevant talk tracks, connect with their peers and share their knowledge.
Commenting on the Lounge, David said,
“Creating the Data Leaders Executive Lounge with Dan Harris has been a great success. Due to COVID-19, what would have normally been a series of executive briefings morphed into an online community of leaders coming together on a bi-monthly Zoom call that included talks from a range of speakers and guided tasting experiences from wine to chocolate and beer.”
“It’s great to see David recognised in the DataIQ 100 alongside many of the Data Lounge members. This series of events has proven so important for sharing ideas with other data leaders in a fun and engaging way, particularly whilst we can’t meet in person.”
David Bloch joined Domino Data Lab in February 2020, moving from New Zealand to the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Domino Data Lab, David was the General Manager of Advanced Analytics for Fonterra, and the Head of Big Data and Advanced Analytics for Vodafone New Zealand. David has 20 years experience as a data professional, working across multiple sectors including health, telecommunications, banking, insurance and advertising.
David’s role as Data Science Evangelist involves acting as a peer to many of the data science leaders using Domino Data Lab as their data science platform, creating thought leadership content, and speaking at events across Europe and the United States.
